3/7/2013 Hardaway Hawks Varsity shut the door early on Troup County, capturing a 13-4 victory on Thursday at Home.
With six runs in the first three innings, Hardaway Hawks Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An RBI single by Blake Meadows in the first inning and a two-run home run by Justin Ellison during the second inning supplied the early offense for Hardaway Hawks Varsity. Ellison racked up four RBIs on two hits for Hardaway Hawks Varsity. Trevon Dorsey recorded the win for Hardaway Hawks Varsity. He allowed four runs over 4 1/3 innings. Dorsey struck out four, walked four and gave up five hits. Hardaway Hawks Varsity built upon its lead with three runs in the third. Meadows kicked things off with a double, plating Sheridan Coy.
After a quick strike from Troup County, Hardaway Hawks Varsity responded with five runs in the fourth. Hardaway Hawks Varsity scored on a walk by Meadows, a sacrifice fly by Brandon Bynam, an error, a sacrifice fly by Ellison, and an error.
Hardaway Hawks Varsity added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. A sacrifice fly scored Josh Anthony to start the scoring in the inning.
